Got a Blocked Drain?

If you have noticed a sink that is slow to drain, a gurgle when the washing machine empties, a toilet that will not flush properly or a wet patch in the yard, that can point to a blockage in the drainage somewhere on your property.

Left alone it usually stops draining altogether, and in the worst case it comes back up through the lowest fixture in the house.

If the same drain blocks every few months, that is a sign something in the line itself needs attention rather than another clear.

Get Your Drains Unblocked

We come out and clear the blockage with drain jetting so you have your drainage back. Then we put a CCTV camera through the line to find the source, so we are not digging up the yard to go looking for it.

What the camera tells us:

  • Tree roots that have found a joint and will keep coming back
  • Cracked, collapsed or displaced sections of pipe
  • A fall problem where the line is not draining as it should
  • Debris, build-up or something that simply should not be in there

Once we know what caused it, we will tell you what needs to happen from there. If it is a one-off, clearing it is the end of the job and we will say so. If the pipe itself has failed, we can excavate, repair or replace the run and reinstate the ground afterwards with our own gear.

We are contactable 24 hours a day for a drain that is backing up. Contact us today for a free quote.

Prompt, clean and quality work from this plumber. I've had a hot water system replaced, then later used them again to replace taps and repair leaks. Been great dealing with them. Good Tradies are hard to find. Glad I found these guys!!

Asked Questions

Blocked Drain Questions

  • Repeat blockages almost always mean something in the line rather than what is being put down it. Tree roots at a joint are the most common cause, followed by a cracked or displaced section and a fall problem. A camera through the line tells you which, so you can fix the cause instead of clearing it again.

  • Not every one. A single blockage with an obvious cause usually just needs clearing. Where it has happened before, where the line is old, or where we are not confident it will stay clear, the camera is worth it and we will recommend it.

  • They do not need to break it to get in. Roots find an existing joint or hairline crack, then grow inside where the water is. Over time the mass of root blocks the line and can displace the pipe. Cutting them clears it temporarily, but they grow back unless the entry point is repaired.

  • Then it needs repairing or replacing rather than clearing. We excavate the failed section, replace it, backfill and reinstate the surface. Because the excavators are ours, that is the same job rather than a second contractor and a second wait.

  • Yes. A drain backing up into the house is treated as urgent and we are contactable 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  • Yes. Blocked stormwater lines, pits and downpipe connections are part of the same work. See Stormwater Drainage.
