Water Sitting Around the House?

If water pools in the same spot after rain, a section of the yard stays soft for days, or run-off finds its way toward the house instead of away from it, the stormwater drainage is not doing its job.

Downpipes that discharge onto the ground, pits that have silted up, and pipework that has broken or lost its fall all end up in the same place.

New sheds, extensions, driveways and paving change where water goes, and a system that coped before often does not afterwards.

Get the Water Moving Away

We work out where the water is coming from and where it needs to end up, then build a system with the fall and the capacity to get it there.

What we install:

  • Underground stormwater pipework and large-diameter lines
  • Stormwater pits, junction pits and pollution-control pits
  • Downpipe and roof drainage connections
  • Rainwater tank connections, detention systems and site drainage rectification

On residential blocks that often means correcting falls and connecting downpipes properly. On commercial and civil sites it means designed systems with pits, detention and reinforced concrete pipe.

Prompt, clean and quality work from this plumber. I've had a hot water system replaced, then later used them again to replace taps and repair leaks. Been great dealing with them. Good Tradies are hard to find. Glad I found these guys!!

Asked Questions

Stormwater Questions

  • Usually one of three things: there is no drainage at that point, the drainage there has failed or silted up, or the surrounding levels send water to it faster than it can get away. We look at where the water arrives from before deciding what to install.

  • In most cases yes. A downpipe discharging onto the ground puts a large volume of water right next to the building, which is exactly where you do not want it. Connecting them into a stormwater line moves it away properly.

  • It usually does. Every hard surface you add is water that used to soak in and now has to go somewhere. It is worth sorting the stormwater as part of the build rather than discovering the problem the first wet season afterwards.

  • Yes, including the connection from the roof drainage and a properly directed overflow. An overflow that discharges next to the tank stand tends to create its own problem.

  • Yes. Larger sites bring pits, detention systems, culvert crossings, reinforced concrete pipe and precast headwalls, and that is part of our civil work. See Civil Drainage.

  • Yes. We run our own mini excavators, augers and plant, so trenching, bedding, backfill and reinstatement are handled by the same crew.
