Plenty of plumbing and drainage work needs a machine before it needs a plumber. A trench for a water service, a hole for a tank or a chamber, a pit, or the bedding under a new drainage run.
When the digging and the pipework come from different contractors, the job runs on whoever is available last. The excavator turns up before the plumber is ready, or the trench sits open waiting for someone.

We run our own mini excavators, augers and plant, so on our jobs the digging and the pipework are the same booking and the same crew.

Excavation Questions
Both. Most of our excavation goes with our own drainage and plumbing work, but we also take on excavation and earthworks as a standalone job, and we hire out wet and dry plant.
Our mini excavators are chosen for tight residential access, so side gates and narrow driveways are usually workable. Send us a photo of the access when you get in touch and we will tell you straight away whether it will fit.
Yes. Backfill, compaction and reinstatement are part of the job, including concrete, paths and turf areas. We would rather hand back a site that looks finished than one that needs another trade.
Yes. Auger drilling for post holes, piers and similar work is part of what our plant covers.
Yes, and it is a normal part of the job. Existing water, sewer, gas, power and communications all need locating before a machine goes in, and we work carefully around what is already in the ground.
